Anotace

L'article se donne pour l'objectif de comparer deux paradigmes influents dans la traductologie occidentale contemporaine, la théorie du skopos et celle du polysysteme, avec les idées formulées par le traductologue tchécoslovaque Jiří Levý. Au fond des notions de fonction et de norme, communes a ces trois conceptions de traduction, sont examinées les points communs et les différences entre ces approches théoriques. La parenté notionnelle des paradigmes examinés est mise en rapport avec des sources épistémologiques communes, dont la linguistique et l'esthétique structuraliste et fonctionnelle du Cercle linguistique de Prague (V. Mathesius, J. Mukařovský, F. Vodička), ou le formalisme russe. Nous examinons la présence des notions de fonction et de normes chez Jiří Levý et chez les théoriciens du skopos et ceux du polysysteme. Du point de vue méthodologique, l'article s inscrit dans une métathéorie de la traduction et en meme temps peut etre considéré comme une contribution a l'historiographie des théories traductologiques, donc comme une partie de l'histoire de la traduction.

Anotace anglicky

The article aims to compare two influential paradigms in contemporary Western translatology, the skopos theory and the polysystem theory, with the ideas expressed by the Czechoslovak Translation Studies scholar Jiří Levý. At the bottom of the notions of function and norm, common to these three conceptions of translation, are examined the common points and the differences between these theoretical approaches. The notional relationship of the paradigms examined is related to common epistemological sources, including structuralist and functional linguistics and aesthetics of the Prague Linguistic Circle (V. Mathesius, J. Mukařovský, F. Vodička), or the Russian formalism. We examine the presence of notions of function and norms in Jiří Levý and in the theoreticians of skopos and those of the polysystem. From the methodological point of view, the article is part of a meta-theory of translation and at the same time can be considered as a contribution to the historiography of theories of translation and therefore as part of the history of translation.
