V originále
During the 17th and 18th centuries, Italian influence dominated in instrumental and liturgical music, as well as in opera. Italian musical forms served as examples for local composers, not only within the Habsburg Empire, but also in German lands (including Protestant areas), the Kingdom of Poland, the Nordic countries, and England. The Kingdom of France represents a unique case where resistance alternated with permeation. The circulation of this Italian and Italianate repertoire via individual musicians, church orders, nobles, and travelling music-lovers, as well as issues of performance practice, will all be of key importance at the colloquium.

Během 17. a 18. století dominoval italský vliv v instrumentální a liturgické hudbě i v opeře. Cirkulace tohoto italského vlivu a italského repertoáru prostřednictvím jednotlivých hudebníků, církevních objednávek, šlechticů a cestovatelů, stejně jako otázky provozovací praxe byly hlavním tématem colloquia.
