Abstract
There is a large disproportion in the access to the smoking cessation medication across European countries, with lower financial support in the eastern and central Europe. Majority of the European population suffers of limited access to the medication used for smoking cessation due to limited or no financial coverage by their health insurance companies. This gap is even bigger by restricted support for the prescriptions by vascular and other specialists.
