Abstract

Mit Die Außerirdischen bringt Rabinivoci die LeserInnen zum Nachdenken, er wirft sie zurück auf das moralische Spielfeld. Welche Rolle würde man einnehmen? Und so stellt der Roman auf den letzten Seiten nicht zu Unrecht folgendes Fazit in den Raum: "Es braucht gar keine Spiele mehr, um sich ihnen zu verweigern. Es bedarf nicht der Außerirdischen, um ein Mensch zu sein. Es gibt inzwischen nicht wenige, die denken, die Außerirdischen seien nie hier gewesen. Wiederum andere meinen, sie seien weiterhin unter uns. Womöglich waren sie es seit jeher. Wer weiß das schon. Es ist im Grunde egal. Fest steht nur, dass wir - auf uns gestellt - noch immer da sind. Und das allein kann unheimlich genug sein."
