Workshop navazoval na podobnou akci uskutečněnou v loňském roce. V první části zprostředkoval studentům 2. semestru Japanistiky na FF MU úvodní stručný vhled do historického vývoje kaligrafických stylů a do základních charakteristik japonské kaligrafie jako umělecké disciplíny. V druhé části si účastníci pod vedením lektorů prakticky vyzkoušeli práci se štětcem a tuší při psaní základních tahů, jednoduchých čínských znaků a vybaraných znaků slabičné abecedy hiragana. Důraz byl kladen na správnou perspektivu náhledu znaků a na návaznost znaků hiragany na "mateřské" znaky kandži.

The workshop first introduced the students of Japanese Studies (2nd semester) to the historical evolution of writing styles in China and to the Japanese caligraphy as a traditional art. Further, the participants had the opportunity to practicaly try writing Chinese characters and Japanese syllabary using brush and ink. Under the supervision of the lecturers, the focus was on the propper perspective, looking at the characters and following the key features of the source kanji when writing hiragana.
