Komentovaný atlas, obsahující 165 barevných schémat, je výsledkem téměř dvouleté práce pedagogického týmu Ústavu patologické fyziologie. Kniha zpracovává témata z obecné i speciální patofyziologie, a to na úrovni, které má dosáhnout student před vstupem do klinických let studia na lékařské fakultě. Snahou autorů bylo postihnout etiopatogenezi stavů a nemocí v rámci současné koncepce genetické predispozice i epigenetické dynamiky „Read- Write“ genomu. Všechny obrázky byly pořízeny de novo, mnohé vznikaly ve spolupráci se studenty a prošly studentskou oponenturou.

This annotated atlas featuring 165 figures in colour is a result of almost two years of work of a paedagogical team from the Department of Pathological Physiology. The book elaborates the topics of both general and special pathophysiology on the level required for students who are about to enter the clinical clerkship in their studies at the Faculty of Medicine. The authors intended to capture the etiopathogenesis of conditions and diseases from the point of view of today’s genetical predisposition approach and also in terms of the epigenetic dynamics of the “read-write” genome concept. All figures have been created de novo, many of them arising from the cooperation with the students.
