Anotace

In het proefschrift De contrastieve beschrijving van de verzorgde uitspraak van het Nederlands en het Tsjechisch vanuit het perspectief van de Tsjechische spreker van het Nederlands ga ik in op de vergelijkende beschrijving van de uitspraaksystemen van de Nederlandse en Tsjechische taal. Dit doe ik door de articulatory settings van beide Europese variëteiten van het Standaardnederlands te vergelijken met het Tsjechisch en verder wordt er een vergelijkende beschrijving gegeven van de klanksystemen van het Nederlands en het Tsjechisch. Aan de hand van de vergelijking stel ik dan een gedetailleerd overzicht op van problematische klanken voor Tsjechische sprekers die ik dan op basis van een aantal proefzinnen ingesproken door Tsjechische proefpersonen evalueer. Een kleine corpus opnames laat ik vervolgens door een Nederlandse en een Vlaamse moedertaalspreker beoordelen. De evaluaties liepen zeer uiteen. In mijn verder onderzoek wil ik dus graag nagaan hoe de moedertaalsprekers van beide variëteiten van het Nederlnads in Europa de Tsjechische uitspraak waarnemen en wat voor hen als “goede” en verstaanbare uitspraak geldt. Ook wil ik graag onderzoeken wat het verschil is tussen de evaluatie van fouten en afwijkingen van de Tsjechische uitspraak van het Nederlands bij Nederlandse en bij Vlaamse moedertaalsprekers en van hun standpunt tegenover de norm is.

In the dissertation The contrastive description of the standard pronunciation of Dutch and Czech from the perspective of the Czech speaker of Dutch I discuss the comparative description of the pronunciation systems of the Dutch and Czech languages. I do this by comparing the articulatory settings of both European varieties of Standard Dutch with Czech and furthermore a comparative description is given of the sound systems of Dutch and Czech. On the basis of the comparison, I then draw up a detailed overview of problematic sounds for Czech speakers, which I then evaluate on the basis of a number of test sentences spoken by Czech test subjects. I then have a small corpus recordings evaluated by a Dutch and a Flemish native speaker. The evaluations varied greatly. In my further research, I would therefore like to examine how the native speakers of both varieties of the Netherlands in Europe perceive the Czech pronunciation and what applies to them as a "good" and understandable statement. I would also like to investigate the difference between the evaluation of errors and deviations from the Czech pronunciation of Dutch among Dutch and Flemish native speakers and their position against the norm.
