Abstract
This two-day course is designed to familiarise EFL teachers with basic principles of drama and theatre that can be applied to language teaching. It offers a practice-oriented insight into ways to enhance learning by means of drama and theatre in English classrooms. The course addresses drama and theatre potential, situations, processes and barriers. Participants will be engaged in a series of participative activities which will enable them to identify effective strategies of the use of drama and theatre for language teaching. They will also gain hands-on experience with best practices, have an opportunity to reflect on their own engagement with this type of activities, and see some successful examples of how drama and theatre can help learners develop their language skills.
