Abstract
The aim of an article was to analyze one of the absolute grounds for refusal of trademark protection, specifically public policy and accepted principles of morality in connection with illegal activities. The article was focused on decision-making practice of the European Union Intellectual Property Office with an insight into decision-making practice of Industrial Property Office in the Czech Republic.

Cílem článku bylo zanalyzovat jeden z absolutních důvodů pro odmítnutí ochrany ochranných známek, konkrétně veřejný pořádek a dobré mravy ve spojení s nelegálními aktivitami. Článek se zaměřil na rozhodovací praxi Úřadu na ochranu duševního vlastnictví s exkurzem do rozhodovací praxe Úřadu průmyslového vlastnictví.
