Tato práce uvede čtenáře do problematiky VHDL jazyka od úplného začátku, očekávají se pouze základní znalosti z oblasti informatiky. Práce obsahuje mnoho názorných obrázků a ukázek VHDL kódu. Čtenář má také možnost si procvičit získané znalosti na konci každé kapitoly prostřednictvím zadaných úloh, k nimž je dodáno i jejich referenční řešení.

This work will introduce the reader to VHDL language from the very beginning, only essential knowledge from informatics area is expected. The work contains many demonstration images and VHDL code examples. The reader can also practice gained knowledge at the end of each chapter through given assignments, which are provided with their reference solutions.
