Abstract

V originále

The thyroid hormones deficit can alter the overall humoral environment of the organism. However, long-term excess of thyroid hormones is undesirable, because it may be a promoter of tumor growth. Regular exogenous substitution of thyroid hormone into the human body does not always cover the increased or decreased demands of human body. In case of previous radioactive iodine treatment, it may be also a certain risk factor for malignant disease. The primary type of thyroid disorder associated with thyroid carcinoma is also important. Since the most common primary hypothyroidism is based on chronic autoimmune inflammation, it should be also borne in mind that autoimmune diseases are demonstrably associated with hematological malignancies, and a number of specific autoimmune diseases can be also a risk factor for tumors of gastrointestinal tract.
