Abstract

In the paper the author points out various interpretations of the term motif in the theory of literature (e.g. Tomashevsky, Propp, Frenzel, Všetička). She deals with the motifs of four elements in Dostoyevsky's work Diary of a Writer, in this context she tries to answer the question which place the motifs of elements have in Diary of a Writer in relation to other works by Dostoyevsky.

Abstract (in Czech)

V příspěvku autorka poukazuje na různé interpretace pojmu motiv v teorii literatury (např. Tomaševskij, Propp, Frenzel, Všetička). Blíže se věnuje motivům živlů v díle F. M. Dostojevského Deník spisovatele, v dané souvislosti se pokouší odpovědět na otázku, jaké místo zaujímají motivy živlů v Deníku spisovatele ve vztahu k Dostojevského ostatní tvorbě.
