Abstract

Ojedinělá knižní monografie mapuje situaci soukromého uměleckého sběratelství v českých zemích po roce 1948. Volně tak navazuje na úspěšné kompendium Lubomíra Slavíčka - Sobě, umění, přátelům. Kapitoly z dějin sběratelství v Čechách a na Moravě 1650-1939 - vydané v roce 2007. Rozsáhlá freska nořící se do často bizarních a zneklidňujících osudů uměleckých sbírek a jejich majitelů v období poválečného totalitního Československa pochází z pera historičky umění a ekonomky Marcely Rusinko (Chmelařové). Nejen díky své úvodní studii shrnující sociální, psychologické a ekonomické motivace uměleckého sběratelství v dějinách, bohatému obrazovému materiálu, ale i řadě nových faktografických poznatků by neměla chybět knihovně žádného sběratele. Autorka se dlouhá léta publikačně věnovala oblasti uměleckého trhu, pohybovala se v prostředí veřejných a soukromých uměleckých sbírek, nyní přednáší na Semináři dějin umění Filozofické fakulty Masarykovy univerzity v Brně.

Abstract (in English)

A unique book monograph maps the situation of private art collectiong in the Czech lands after 1948. It freely follows the successful compendium of Lubomír Slavíček - "Sobě, umění, přátelům. Kapitoly z dějin sběratelství v Čechách a na Moravě 1650–1939" - published in 2007. An extensive fresco dwelling in the often bizarre and disturbing fates of art collections and their owners in the post-war totalitarian Czechoslovakia. It comes from the art historian and economist Marcela Rusinko (Chmelařová). Not only for his introductory study summarizing the social, psychological and economic motivation of art collecting in history, rich visual material but also a number of new factual findings it should not be missing in the library of any art collector. The author has spent many years publishing in the field of the art market, working with the public and private art collections. Now she lectures at the Departement of Art History, Faculty of Arts at Masaryk University in Brno.
