V originále
Gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) poses many risks for both mother and child. Not only glucose metabolism disturbances appear, also lipid and amino acid metabolism may be affected. The aim of this study was to determine selected amino acids (AAs), non-esterified fatty acids (NEFAs) and common parameters of lipid metabolism in GDM women and lean and obese healthy controls during third trimester of pregnancy and to compare the effect of BMI on these analytes.
