Abstract
V originále
The aim of this research is to evaluate the impact of the explosive strength of the lower limbs on the agility of table tennis players. Twenty men participated in our study (average 23.9 years). We tested reactive agility time by using Fitro Agility Check, height and power for countermovement jump (CMJ) by using Myotest and distance for standing long jump (SLJ). Mean reactive agility time of all players was 1127.84±89.39 ms, mean height of CMJ 43.11±6.01 cm, mean power 45.4±14.91 W/kg and mean distance of SLJ 195,55±19.36 cm. Correlation for agility and CMJ height was r = -0.18. Correlation for agility and CMJ power was r = -0.3. Correlation for agility and SLJ was r = -0.34. Even when our results show moderate or small effect of explosive strength on agility, we consider explosive strength to be an important factor.
