Článek charakterizuje myšlení Jana Sedláka o historii moderní architektury v Brně v rámci takzvané Brněnské školy dějin umění. Sedlák analyzoval především hmotu architektonických realisací a doplňoval tímto způsobem práce svých učitelů a kolegů, kteří se zabývali hlavně architektonickým prostorem.

The article characterizes Jan Sedlák's thinking about history of modern architecture in Brno within the so-called Brno School of Art History. Jan Sedlák analyzed mainly the mass of the architectural realizations and supplemented in this way the work of his teachers and colleagues, concerning mainly the space in the architecture.
