Abstract

Česká organizace scénografů, divadelních architektů a techniků (ČOSDAT) ve spolupráci s Institutem umění – Divadelním ústavem (IDU), slovenským Divadelným ústavem Bratislava a sdružením PRO SCENA, polským Instytut Teatralny Zbigniewa Raszewskiego, maďarským Hungarian OISTAT Centre a Česko-německým fondem budoucnosti pořádá mezinárodní diskusní symposium: POLOČAS ROZPADU 4.1 Vzhledem k potřebě mezinárodní reflexe v kontextu divadelních kultur střední Evropy proběhne během festivalu Divadelní svět Brno jednodenní setkání českých, slovenských, polských, maďarských a německých scénografů, teoretiků a pedagogů: Poločas rozpadu 4.1. Jedná se o čtvrté z řady odborných sympozií nad stavem, podmínkami a možnostmi současné scénografie. Cílem diskuzního setkání je reflexe současné tvorby v jednotlivých zemích jak po umělecké stránce, tak z hlediska technologických trendů a finančních i kulturních podmínek. Symposium je určeno převážně odbornému publiku z řad scénografů, kostýmních výtvarníků, světelných / zvukových / video designérů, teoretiků a historiků divadla a studentům těchto oborů, zároveň ale cílí i na širší veřejnost se zájmem o tuto uměleckou disciplínu. Součástí symposia je i otevřená večerní prezentace U-KAŽ & M-LUV: Účastnící mohou představit svou aktuální tvorbu, zdroje inspirace, reflexi aktuálních trendů scénografické praxe či jiný oborový příspěvek v krátkých, 7 minutových vstupech (např. 14 obrázků a 30 sekund na komentář jednoho). Pro tuto část symposia vybíráme prezentující především z uměleckých oborů, kteří mohou neformálně představit svá realizovaná i nerealizovaná scénografická díla. Cílem prezentace je seznámit se s prací mladých umělců s osobitým pohledem, tvůrčím přístupem a neobvyklými zdroji inspirace. Důvodem zařazení prezentace U-Kaž & M-luv na večer dne konání symposia je snaha o aktivní propojení teoretiků a praktiků divadelního (zejména scénografického) umění. Kromě zástupců jednotlivých zemí V4 a Německa dostanou prostor především čeští scénografové a teoretici (profesionálové i studenti).

Abstract (in English)

Czech Organization of Scenographers and Theatre Architects and Technicians (ČOSDAT/ OISTAT) in collaboration with the Arts and Theatre Institute (IDU/ATI), Slovak Theatre Institute Bratislava and PRO SCENA association, Polish Instytut Teatralny Zbigniewa Raszewskiego, Hungary OISTAT Centre and Czech-German future fund organized HALF-LIFE 4.1 A gathering of Czech, Slovak, Polish, Hungarian and German scenographers, theoreticians and teachers: Half-life 4.1 will take place in Brno, during the Divadelní svět Brno Festival, due to the growing need of international reflection in the context of Central European Theatre Culture. It is the fourth edition of the symposium which specializes on the topic of today’s scenography – Where does it stand? What are the conditions and options? The aim of the discussion is to reflect on the current work from various countries. Not only to approach the works from the creative point of view, but to take the technology trends and also financial and cultural conditions in to account. The symposium is open to professional scenographers, costume / lighting / sound / video designers, theoreticians and theatre historians, students of these subject and to people of any field, who are interested in this artistic disciplines. Five foreign speakers open each thematic section and a following discussion. Part of the symposium was an evening presentation S-how & T-ell: The participants talked about their creative work in short, 7 minute long presentations (for instance 14 images and 30 seconds to describe each image). We chose presenters mainly from artistic fields, for this part of the symposium, so they can informally present their finished or unfinished scenographic works. Aim of the presentation was to get to know the works of young artists with distinctive and creative approach and unique sources of inspiration. The reason of organizing the S-how & T-ell presentation in the evening of the symposium was the attempt to actively connect the theoreticians and practitioners of theatre (mainly scenographic) arts. Other than representatives of the V4 countries and Germany, the focus was mainly set on Czech scenographers and theoreticians (professionals and students).
