Abstract

W 2018 roku przypomnieliśmy sobie 50. rocznicę radzieckiej okupacji Czechosłowacji w sierpniu 1968. W czasie, gdy inwazja wojsk Układu Warszawskiego zakończyła reformy „praskiej wiosny”, Karel Kryl, autor antykomunistycznych protestsongów i słynnej pieśni „Braciszku, zamknij furtkę”, nagrywał swoją pierwszą płytę pod tym samym tytułem. W tamtym okresie stał się rzecznikiem okupowanego narodu. W roku 2018 również Polacy przypomnieli sobie 20. rocznicę śmierci wybitnego poety – rok ten ogłoszono Rokiem Zbigniewa Herberta. Herbert był polskim poetą-moralistą i eseistą. Obaj autorzy walczyli z komunistycznym reżimem i po roku 1989 nadal krytykowali sytuację polityczną i stosunki międzyludzkie w obu krajach. W ramach artykułu opublikowano również tłumaczenia autorki.

V roce 2018 jsme si připomněli 50. výročí sovětské invaze do Československa v srpnu 1968. V době, kdy invaze vojsk Varšavské smlouvy ukončila reformní Pražské jaro, Karel Kryl, autor protikomunistických protestsongů a autor slavné písně Bratříčku, zavírej vrátka, nahrával své první stejnojmenné album. V této době se stal mluvčím okupovaného národa. V roce 2018 si i Poláci připomněli 20. výročí smrti významného básníka a tento rok byl vyhlášen Rokem Zbigniewa Herberta. Herbert byl polský básník, esejista a moralista. Oba autoři bojovali proti komunistickému režimu a i po roce 1989 kritizovali politickou situaci a mezilidské vztahy v obou zemích. Součástí článku jsou i původní překlady.

Abstract (in English)

In 2018, the Czech Republic was commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Soviet-led invasion of Czechoslovakia in 1968. When the Warsaw Pact armies occupied Czechoslovakia on August 21, 1968, to suppress the Prague Spring reform movement, the Czech protest singer Karel Kryl, who wrote his famous song „Keep the Gate Closed, Little Brother“, released his first album (having the same name). At that time, he became the spokesman of the occupied nation. Commemorating the 20th anniversary of the death of the great Polish poet, 2018 was in Poland the Year of Zbigniew Herbert. Herbert was a Polish poet, essayist and moralist. Both these authors were attacking the political situation and interpersonal relationships of the Communist and later also the post-communist regimes in their own home countries. Original translations are included in the article.
