V originále

V roce 2019 si připomeneme 150. výročí narození a 80. výročí úmrtí nejznámějšího neurochirurga první poloviny 20. století – Harveyho Williama Cushinga (narozen 8. dubna 1869 v Clevelandu, zemřel 7. října 1939 v New Havenu). V tomto roce také uplyne 80 let od poslední nominace Harveyho Cushinga na Nobelovu cenu za medicínu a fyziologii, která ovšem stejně jako všechny předcházející k udělení tohoto zaslouženého ocenění nevedla.

We will commemorate the 150th anniversary of the birth and the 80th anniversary of the death of the most famous neurosurgeon of the first half of the 20th century - Harvey William Cushing (born April 8 1869 in Cleveland, died on October 7, 1939 in New Haven) in 2019. This year also will be 80 years since Harvey Cushing's last nomination at the Nobel Prize in Medicine and Physiology, which, however, like all the precedents for the award she did not.
