Abstract
Speaking skills are of utmost importance when learning a foreign language. It is thus crucial for teachers to come up with new, relevant and exciting ideas of keeping their students motivated. One such way is introducing mediation, a skill that helps to close communication gaps through linguistic, cultural and social means. It is relevant especially, but not exclusively, to ESP.
