Abstract

Bereits seit den 50er Jahren des 20. Jhd. wird die Auswirkung diverser affektiver Variablen auf den Zweit- und Fremdsprachenerwerb empirisch untersucht, wobei das spezielle Interesse der Forscher stets der Komponente Motivation galt. Im vorliegenden Beitrag wird das besondere Augenmerk auf die Wechselbeziehung zwischen Motivation und Projektunterricht als Unterrichtsmethode gerichtet. Diese Unterrichtsmethode wird im Kontext ihres Motivierungspotenzials auf die Lernenden dargelegt und erörtert, denn gerade solche Methoden gelten heutzutage als unabdingbare Bestandteile eines jeden handlungsorientiert ausgerichteten Fremdsprachenunterrichts und scheinen für den Lernerfolg im nicht geringen Maße mitentscheidend zu sein.

Abstract (in Czech)

Již od padesátých let minulého století je empiricky zkoumán vliv rozličných afektivních proměnných na osvojování cizího jazyka, přičemž zvláštní pozornost v rámci tohoto vědeckého bádání byla vždy věnována proměnné motivaci. Předkládaný příspěvek se zabývá vzájemným vztahem mezi motivací a projektovou výukou jako výukovou metodou. Tato výuková metoda je zde prezentována a diskutována především v kontextu jejího potenciálu motivovat učící se, neboť právě takovéto metody jsou v současné době považovány za nezbytnou součást každé činnostně orientované výuky cizího jazyka, přičemž jejich motivační aspekt pak do značné míry rozhoduje o učebního úspěchu.

Abstract (in English)

Since the 1950s, the impact of various affective variables on the second and foreign language acquisition has been empirically studied, with the researchers always focusing on motivation. In this paper special attention is paid to the correlation between motivation and project-based learning as a teaching method. This method of teaching is presented and discussed in the context of its motivational potential to the learners, as such methods are currently regarded as indispensable components of any task-based foreign language learning and seem to be decisive for the success of learning.
