Abstract
In 2012 started, in Brno Czech Republic, its activities the Center for Early Medieval Studies. With over 60 public lectures, 18 scientific conferences, and more than 25 publications (including 10 regular issue of a new journal Convivium), this center is carrying out the legacy of Nikodim Kondakov. The main idea of all this research (and dissemination) activity is to propose a new paradigm for art historical studies: with an emphasis on dialogue between cultures and, mostly, with particular attention to the body of the subject as a tool for understanding the past.
