Abstract
The contribution focused on one of the specific features of the corpus of inscriptions the author has been excerpting for the linguistic database of Latin inscriptions (http://lldb.elte.hu). Mistakes related to Thracian origin were presented and analyzed with special attention to the inscription CIL VI 2799. The inscription belongs to the group of votive inscriptions found in Rome that were dedicated by praetorian soldiers coming mainly from Thrace.
