Abstract
In the introductory chapter of the book entitled The Fall of Great Moravia. Who Was Buried in Grave H153 at Pohansko near Břeclav? Jiří Macháček and Vladimír Sládek gives an account of the rather unusual history of the discovery and comprehensively characterizes the find situation. He also explains the methods used by modern archaeology and anthropology and what data can be obtained with their assistance.

V úvodní kapitole knihy s názvem The Fall of Great Moravia. Who Was Buried in Grave H153 at Pohansko near Břeclav? popisuje Jiří Macháček a Vladmimír Sládek neobvyklou historii objevu a zevrubně charakterizuje celý nález. Vysvětluje jakými metodami pracuje moderní archeologie i antropologie a jaké poznatky lze s jejich pomocí vyčíst ze země.
