Abstract

La tradition du film pour la jeunesse qui s’est développée tant au sein du studio tchécoslovaque Barrandov qu a la télévision s’est exportée avec succe`s dans la culture cinématographique est- et ouest-allemande durant les décennies 1970 et 1980. Les standards tchéques de création en matiére de cinéma pour les enfants ont été accueillis et adoptés avec un grand enthousiasme par certains secteurs de l industrie cinématographique et télévisuelle dans ces deux pays qui partageaient un passé commun, mais connaissaient une situation trés différentes durant les deux derniéres décennies de la Guerre froide. Je me concentrerai sur deux cycles de coproductions germano-tchécoslovaques qui obtinrent un succés a la fois critique et commercial. Mon objectif sera d analyser les conditions qui rendirent possible ce transfert, ainsi que les processus du transfert lui-meme.

Abstract (in English)

The tradition of children´s cinema fostered at the Czechoslovak film studio Barrandov as well as at the Czechoslovak television successfully travelled to the East and West German film production culture during the 1970s and 1980s. The Czech creative standards of children cinema were welcomed and quite enthusiastically adopted by certain segments of film and television industry in both Germanies. Two cycles of Czechoslovak-German co-productions were exceptionally successful: four movies which Barrandov made with the East German studio DEFA in the 1970s, and numerous TV series which Czechoslovak television and Barrandov co-produced with the West German producer Gert Müntefering. The paper analyses the institutional, cultural, industrial, as well as personal conditions of the successful transfer.
