We have prepared a new university course The Introduction to Cosmology available for students without deeper math background. During the last decades of the twentieth century, particle physics increasingly drove advances in cosmology, too. The presented course in this direction includes introductory lectures on the basics of cosmology, astrophysics and demonstrates mankind ability to discover the universe. The aim of our contribution is to present the basic ideas and concepts behind the modern physics, to show the major results of the high-energy experiments. Our results of short research study and the cosmology lecturers' experiences in two years are presented. We have prepared a questionnaire and the case study to find out how students think about the Universe, how they can accept cosmology theoretical ideas. Then we use it for design follow-up activities that help students to improve their understanding.
