Cílem autorů je uspokojit velkou poptávku lékařů po publikaci tohoto typu a podat přehledné a srozumitelné aktuální informace o onemocnění ledvin v dětském věku. Formát do kapsy umožňuje rychlý náhled na etiologii, diagnostiku a léčbu všech hlavních nefropatií. Monografie svým obsahem pokrývá komplexně celé spektrum chorob ledvin a vývodných močových cest, dále problematiku iontové a vodní rovnováhy, dialýzy, transplantace ledviny a řadu dalších důležitých témat. Knížka bude dobrým pomocníkem lékaře při péči o dětské pacienty.

A team of experts led by prof. MUDr. Miroslav Souček, CSc. and MUDr. Petr Svačina did a great job of squeezing the most important of the broad field of internal medicine into a limited number of pages. The book thus helps all undergraduate as well as postgraduate students to orient themselves safely in the broad issues of internal medicine, and at the same time the publication is also beneficial for internists and physicians in other fields. The aim of the authors is to satisfy the great demand of doctors for publications of this type and to provide clear and comprehensible current information on kidney disease in childhood.
