Pohansko u Břeclavi je zkoumáno systematicky od roku 1959. Vystřídaly se zde čtyři generace badatelů a vyškolily desítky studentů. Badatelské i záchranné výzkumy osídlených ploch centra, předhradí i okolních areálů v širším okolí vydaly nálezy, které mají analogie jak v prostoru Velké Moravy, tak i širším středoevropském a evropském prostředí. Hlavní přínos Pohanska je v odborných studiích a monografiích systematicky zpracovávající výsledky terénních výzkumů. Jsou ovšem publikované interpretace objektivní a lze na nich stavět další konstrukce nadále? Nebo byly ovlivněny společenskými a politickými směry a bylo by tedy na místě se ohlédnout a zvážit stav základů a provést fixaci, případně přestavbu?!

Pohansko u Břeclavi has been studied systematically since 1959. Four generations of researchers took turns here and trained dozens of students. Research and rescue studies of the inhabited areas of the center, the bailey and surrounding areas in the wider area have produced findings that have analogies both in the area of Great Moravia and in the wider Central European and European environment. The main contribution of Pohansko is in expert studies and monographs systematically processing results of field research. But are the published interpretations objective and can other constructions continue to be built upon? Or were they influenced by social and political directions and would it be appropriate to look back and consider the state of the foundations and fix or rebuild them ?!
