Abstract
Abstract (in English)
The study shows that Czech has all four formal properties, which are traditionally referred to as pro drop language properties. Based on the analysis, it represents two types of small “pro”: (i) “pro” with the feature [definit], which has the same distribution in the surface syntax as the overt DP, but occupies a different position in the syntactic structure and has a different discourse interpretation; (ii) pro with the feature [indefinite / generic], which also has the same distribution as the overt DP in surface syntax, but different interpretation as a referential syntactic object.
