Abstract
The chapter presents a special phenomenon of so-called Czech Renaissance not only as part (style) of architectural history of the late 19th cnetury, but also as special product of historiography based on idea of national identity. This concept is covered not only in the time around 1900 but with the respect of the fruitful tradition in the whole 20th century.
