The paper is structured as a report comprising of conceptual background information and the introduction of an initial hypothesis for the research project Media Art Live Archive, MALA, supported by the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic. The goal of the project is to experimentally test the utility of artificial neural networks in service of media art historiography and theory. Artificial neural networks will conduct iconographic and audiographic analyses of the Woody and Steina Vasulka video archive. We suppose that the application of deep learning technology in the studies of the archive content could serve not only for data mining purposes but, more importantly, it can become a creative means for rethinking the poetics of early electronic art. The results of the project which we are striving for can be called augmented poetics of electronic art.

Příspěvek je strukturován jako zpráva obsahující informace o konceptuálních východiscích a úvodní hypotézy stojících za výzkumným projektem Media Art Live Archive, MALA, podpořeným Technologickou agenturou České republiky. Cílem projektu je experimentálně otestovat užitečnost umělých neuronových sítí ve službách historiografie a teorie mediálního umění. Umělé neuronové sítě budou provádět ikonografické a audiografické analýzy video archivu Woodyho a Steiny Vasulkových. Předpokládáme, že aplikace technologie hlubokého učení při studiu obsahu archivu by mohla sloužit nejen pro účely dolování dat, ale zejména se může stát tvůrčím prostředkem pro přehodnocení poetiky raného elektronického umění. Výsledky projektu, o který usilujeme, lze nazvat rozšířenou poetikou elektronického umění.
