Abstract

V originále

The formation of the Ukrainian character at the turn of the 20th and 21st centuries remains a very interesting topic for research. How did the literary hero of Ukrainian prose actually form, and what impact did the history and relevant events in the country have on the character creation? What happened to the hero of the novels during the period of power of the Communist Party? What character do Ukrainian writers choose after the 1980s? The rebirth of the Ukrainian character in the 1990s, and indeed the beginning of the 21st century, brought a whole new prototype. We are trying to find out all this in the presented work.
