Abstract

Madame Eva Lustigová, fille de l'écrivain juif Arnošt Lustig qui a survécu l'holocauste, et la réalisatrice Henriette Chardak sont venues à Brno pour présenter en coopération avec le département de langue et littérature française au cinéma universitaire Scala le film les Enfants de Terezín et le monstre à moustache sur la vie d'Ela Stein-Weissberger, née à Brno. Les invités ont été surtout les élèves et étudiants des écoles de Brno, mais aussi leurs enseignants et le grand public. Tous ont commémoré les victimes d'une minute de silence après la projection du film. Le département du français a assuré la coordination de la projection et de la discussion suivante sur le (non)sens de la guerre et sur la production artistique dans les périodes de la terreur.

Abstract (in Czech)

Eva Lustigová, dcera židovského spisovatele Arnošta Lustiga, který přežil holocaust, a režisérka Henriette Chardak přijely do Brna představit ve spolupráci s katedrou francouzského jazyka a literatury v univerzitním kině Scala film Děti v Terezíně a nestvůra s knírkem o životě brněnské rodačky Ely Stein-Weissbergerové. Hosty byli hlavně žáci a studenti brněnských škol, ale také jejich učitelé a široká veřejnost. Všichni si po promítání filmu připomněli památku obětí minutou ticha. Kfj koordinovala promítání filmu i následnou diskusi o (ne)smyslu války a o umělecké produkci v době teroru.

Abstract (in English)

Mrs. Eva Lustigová, daughter of the Jewish writer Arnošt Lustig who survived the holocaust, and the director Henriette Chardak came to Brno to present in cooperation with the department of French language and literature at the Scala university cinema the film Children of Terezin and the mustache monster on the life of Brno-born Ela Stein-Weissberger. The guests were mainly pupils and students of the Brno schools, but also their teachers and the general public. All commemorated the victims of a minute of silence after the screening of the film. The French department coordinated the projection and the following discussion on the (non) meaning of war and on artistic production in times of terror.
