Abstract
The detection of pathogens using specific antibodies combined with different electrochemical techniques provides portable and rapid responding tools suitable for field use. The novel approaches based on nontraditional impedance sensing with nanopores, combined with electro-optical systems using transparent electrodes and especially single-virus or -microbe response setups resulting in digital immunosensing, are highlighted.
