Abstract
Monophasic europium-doped and dysprosium co-doped SrAl4O7 samples were prepared by the solid state-reaction method. The phase purity of synthesized specimens was confirmed by powder X-ray diffraction measurements. Europium-doped samples exhibited blue-green luminescence emission at 490 nm while co-doping with dysprosium shifted the maximum of emission to 475 nm and consequently, the color towards the blue region. Influence of dopants concentration and molar ratio on the luminescent properties of strontium aluminate was studied. All of the samples exhibited persistent luminescence, and their afterglow decay curves were measured. (C) 2019 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
