Abstract
Our simulations suggest that ethanol has concentration-dependent electrophysiological effects that differ between atria and ventricles, and in the absence or presence of disease-related remodeling. Low concentrations of ethanol could have antiarrhythmic effects whereas moderate- and high-concentrations may promote reentrant arrhythmias.
