Abstract
This contribution deals with the European Union's cohesion policy during the coronavirus crisis, which heavily affected most European regions and their economies. The paper focuses on exceptional flexibility for the use of European Structural and Investment Funds at the end of the current programming period 2014-2020. Extraordinary circumstances mobilised EU institutions to amend the respective regulations quickly. The aim of this paper is to present those changes by using the methods of analysis, description, comparison and synthesis.
