Abstract

Tato publikace prezentuje stručný přehled informací o oboru Oftalmologie a jeho využitelnosti v rámci mezioborové spolupráce zdravotnických a pomáhajících profesí. Kniha obsahuje přehled anatomie a fyziologie zraku a procesu vidění, vývoj oka a zrakových funkcí, přehled základních vyšetřovacích metod v oftalmologii a nejčastější oční patologie. Toto je doplněno o kapitoly věnující se behaviorální optometrii, včetně behavioristických přístupů, kterých tento optometrický směr využívá a dále, o kapitoly popisující zraková postižení, sociální služby pro osoby se zrakovým postižením a část věnující se prevenci očních úrazů. Účelem této publikace je přiblížit pracovníkům v pomáhajících profesích složitou problematiku spojenou se zrakem a podpořit mezioborovou spolupráci pracovníků ve zdravotnictví s dalšími profesemi.

Abstract (in English)

This publication presents an overview of information on the field of Ophthalmology and its usability in the interdisciplinary cooperation of medical and assisting professions. The book contains an overview of the anatomy and physiology of the eye and the process of vision, the development of the eye and visual functions, an overview of basic examination methods in ophthalmology and the most common ocular pathologies. This is complemented by chapters on behavioral optometry, including the behavioral approaches used in this optometric direction, and chapters on visual impairments, social services for the peole with visual impairment, and a section on eye injury prevention. The purpose of this publication is to support interdisciplinary cooperation of health care workers with other professions.
