Abstract

Uvedení do umění druhé poloviny 19. století ve městě Brně charakterizuje stylové proměny období historismu. Jednotlivá umění (architektura, sochařství, malířství i hudba) se odvíjejí značně samostatně, nicméně ke sklonku století v nich dochází k postupnému sbližování v nových, moderně znějících uměleckých výkonů. To byla již doba, v níž se začal odehrávat podstatný posun v kulturní sféře: posun od pozdního historismu k modernismu.

Abstract (in English)

The introduction into the art of the second half of the 19th century in the city of Brno characterizes the stylistic transformations of the period of historicism. Individual arts (architecture, sculpture, painting and music) unfold their ways very independently, but towards the end of the century there is a gradual convergence in new, modern-sounding artistic performances. This was the time when a major shift in the cultural sphere began to take place: a shift from late historicism to modernism.
