Abstract

Intenzivní medicína je samostatný, dynamicky se rozvíjející obor medicíny, který se komplexně stará o pacienty s již vzniklým nebo hrozícím akutním selháním orgánu. Je to multidisciplinární obor, který má přesah i mimo vlastní prostor jednotek intenzivní péče (Intensive Care Unit, ICU). Intenzivní medicína má více definic, nicméně spojujícím prvkem je orgánová dysfunkce (ohrožení tzv. vitálních funkcí) pacientu a možnost poskytování orgánově specifické podpory. Spektrum pacientu přijímaných na ICU se v posledních letech mění směrem k vyššímu veku a vetší 21 NÁHLED PRO ŠM být schopen popsat kriticky nemocného pacienta porozumět specifickému prostředí ICU znát základní strukturu ICU – vybavení a složení personálu porozumět, jak se vzdělávat v oboru vysvětlit, jak zacházet s dokumentací o polymorbiditě. Intensive care is an independent, dynamically developing field of medicine, which comprehensively takes care of patients with already established or imminent acute organ failure. It is a multidisciplinary field that extends beyond the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Intensive care has several definitions, however, the connecting element is the organ dysfunction (threat to the so-called vital functions) of the patient and the possibility of providing organ-specific support.
