Abstract
After Nikodim Kondakov's death in Prague, as an integral part of the so-called "Russian Action" a group of scholars formed an institute in monore of the late master. The purpose of this institution was to continue Kondakov's studies. Gradually, however, it became a world-class research center while at the same time participating in the dissemination of knowledge on Russian art in Czechoslovakia.
