Abstract
The research of phase equilibria in Mn-Nb and Mn-Ta system has been conducted. In our study, a stable Laves phase was confirmed in both systems, but no other phase was detected experimentally. Melting and transformation temperatures of alloys in both systems were determined by DTA experiments, and this information was supported by phase analysis via scanning electron microscope (SEM) with wavelength dispersive X-ray (WDX) and energy-dispersive X-ray (EDX) analyses. Results of these experiments supported by ab initio calculations and calorimetric measurements of the energy of formation of Laves phases enable us to determine the phase diagrams of both systems by the CALPHAD method.

Byl proveden výzkum fázových rovnovah v soustavě Mn-Nb a Mn-Ta. V naší studii byla v obou soustavách potvrzena stabilní fáze Laves, ale žádná jiná fáze nebyla detekována experimentálně. Teploty tání a teploty přeměn slitin v obou soustavách byly stanoveny experimenty DTA a tyto informace byly podpořeny fázovou analýzou pomocí skenovacího elektronového mikroskopu (SEM) s vlnově disperzní rentgenovou analýzou (WDX) a energiově disperzní rentgenovou analýzou (EDX). Výsledky těchto experimentů, podpořené ab initio výpočty a kalorimetrickými měřeními energie tvorby Lavesových fází, nám umožňují určit fázové diagramy obou systémů metodou CALPHAD.
