Abstract
This paper analyzed Mongol-oriented and Mongolia-based taxonomies at various levels of anthropology, linguistics, and biology. Besides the core areas directly related to Mongolia and Mongols, even other fields of science still use the terms like „Mongoloids“ and „Mongolian spot“. Their replacement by another terms does not seem to be necessary, because every other term would also have an arbitrary value. The tradition and use of these terms is connected to the history and development of European science.
