Abstract

Unser Beitrag legt die Analyse des I. Kapitels der Gesta dar. Aus welchen Tugenden hat der Verfasser die Charakteristik von Innozenz III. hergestellt? Was für semantisches und literarisches Vorkommen haben die Wörter oder Wortverbindungen, die den Tugendkatalog in den Gesta bilden? Mit diesen Fragen werde ich mich in meinem Beitrag beschäftigen. Kann die Analyse des I. Kapitels der Gesta die Meinung der Historiographie auf die Datierung des Werkes zwischen 1203-1213 umwerten? Außer dem I. Kapitel hat der Verfasser auf die päpstlichen Tugenden auch in den folgenden Kapiteln hingedeutet, wobei sich mit ihrer Hilfe die Tugenden aus dem I. Kapitel aufgezogen wurden. Die Abschnittanalyse haben wir mittels der Anwendung der E-Databasen und der Forschungsmitteln der literarischen Hermeneutik durchgeführt, wo wir auf die literarische Bildung von Innozenz III. und seiner Gegend konzentriert. Die erreichten Ergebnisse haben mich auf mehrere Anspielungen auf die literarischen Werke aus dem 12. und 13. Jahrhundert aufmerksam gemacht.

Náš příspěvek představuje analýzu první kapitoly Gesta. Z jakých ctností autor vytvořil charakteristiku Inocence III.? Jaké jsou významové a literární výskyty slov nebo slovních spojení, která tvoří katalog ctností v Gestech? Těmito otázkami se budu zabývat ve své práci. Může analýza I. kapitoly Gesta přehodnotit názor historiografie na datování díla mezi roky 1203-1213? Kromě první kapitoly se autor na papežské ctnosti odvolává i v následujících kapitolách a využívá je k tomu, aby vytáhl ctnosti z první kapitoly. Analýzu oddílu jsme provedli pomocí aplikace elektronických databází a výzkumných nástrojů literární hermeneutiky, kde jsme se zaměřili na literární tvorbu Inocence III. Získané výsledky mě upozornily na několik narážek na literární díla z 12. a 13. století.

Abstract (in English)

Our paper presents the analysis of the first chapter of the pope Innocent III.’s biography known as Gesta Inocentii III. What virtues does the pope’s characteristics consist of? What is the semantic and literary origin of the words and phrases forming the catalogue of virtues present in the Gesta? These are the questions which we are going to discuss. Could the analysis of the first chapter contribute to the re-evaluation of the historiographical datation of the work which claims it to be written between 1203 and 1213? The anonymous author of the Gesta was pointing to the pope’s virtues also in the following chapters expanding on the virtues mentioned before. Our preliminary literary analysis was made by means of electronic databases and the methods of literary hermeneutics with the focus on the literary production of Innocent III. and his contemporaries. The results of the analysis have drawn our attention to the presence of the numerous literary allusions to the various writings of the 11th and 13th century.
