Abstract

The presentation focused on the life of Greek physician Ctesias of Cnidus, his stay on the court of the Achaemenid Empire under the rule of Artaxerxes II, Ctesias’ sources for his works Persica and Indica, and Persian words recorded in his works.

V této prezentaci jsem se zaměřil na život řeckého lékaře Ktésia z Knidu a jeho pobyt na královském dvoře v Achaimenovské říši za vlády krále Artaxerxa II. Dále jsem se zameřil na zdroje k jeho dílům Persika a Indika a také na perská slova, která zaznamenal ve své tvorbě.
