Abstract

Le diptyque dystopique constitué de deux romans de Christian Guay-Poliquin, Le fil des kilometres (2013) et Le Poids de la neige (2016), propose un récit apocalyptique en mettant en avant deux modeles : le roman de la route dans le premier tome et le roman du terroir dans le second. Cette disposition contrastée est traversée par quatre mythes : les mythes du Labyrinthe et d'Icare et les paraboles du Fils prodigue et du Bon Samaritain. L'analyse se concentre sur la contribution de ces hypotextes et suit la transformation des récits dystopiques en récits libérateurs en accord avec la tradition chrétienne de la littérature canadienne-française et québécoise.

Dystopický diptych konstituovaný dvěma romány Christiana Guay-Poliquina, Le fil des kilometres (2013) a Le Poids de la neige (2016), zobrazuje apokalyptické příběhy při použití dvou odlišných modelů: románu cesty (road novel) v prvním svazku a románu rodné hroudy ve druhém. Toto kontrastní uspořádání protínají čtyři mýty: mýty o Labyrintu a Ikarovi a podobenství o Marnotratném synovi a Dobrém Samaritánovi. Analýza se zaměřuje na přínos těchto hypotextů a sleduje transformaci dystopických příběhů v příběhy osvobozující v souladu s křesťanskou tradicí francouzsko-kanadské a quebecké literatury.

Abstract (in English)

The dystopian diptych constituted by two Christian Guay-Poliquin’s novels, Le fil des kilometres (2013) and Le Poids de la neige (2016), features an apocalyptic narrative by highlighting two models: the road novel in the first volume and the novel of the soil in the second. This contrasting arrangement is crossed by four common mythemes: the myths of Labyrinth and of Icarus and the parables of the Prodigal Son and of the Good Samaritan. The analysis focuses on the contribution of those hypotexts to the transformation of dystopian narratives into liberating ones in the sense of the Christian tradition of French-Canadian and Quebec literature.
