Abstract

Příspěvek porovnával využívání strategií a vnitřních a vnějších modifikátorů v písemných neformálních žádostech středoškolských studentů a simulovaných ústních žádostech univerzitních studentů s podobnou dosaženou jazykovou úrovní v angličtině. Obě skupiny studentů používali převážně nepřímé strategie s využitím konvencí, ale středoškolští studenti využívali více přímých strategií a mírně častěji upřednostňovali modifikátory typické spíše pro češtinu.

Abstract (in English)

The presentation deals with the comparison of request strategies and their internal and external modification devices in informal requests written by Czech secondary-school students and simulated spoken request by Czech university students with similar language proficiency level. Both groups exploited predominantly non-conventionally indirect requests, but secondary-school students preferred modification devices typical of Czech to a greater extent and showed a higher frequency of direct strategies.
