Nach dem Jahre 1989 begann in der damaligen Tschechoslowakei die Transformation des politischen Systems. Es ergaben sich Veränderungen in allen Bereichen. Im Beitrag wird die Situation des tschechischen Schulsystems in der Zeit der Wende skizziert und anschließend die Entwicklungen in drei Etappen analysiert: Dekonstruktion und partielle Stabilisierung (1989–2001), systemische Rekonstruktion und Implementation (2001–2014) und graduelle Differenzierung (2014–2020). Am Ende werden die Besonderheiten eines Schulsystems in der Zeit des Umbruchs herausgearbeitet und zur Diskussion gestellt.

Po politické změně v roce 1989 započala v tehdejším Československu transformaci politického systému. Otevřely se perspektivy v mnoha oblastech. V kapitole je analyzována situace v československém školském systému v situaci změny a rozebírá se vývoj ve třech etapách: dekonstrukce a částečná stabilizace (1989-2001), systémová rekonstrukce a implementace (2001-2014) a gradující diferenciace (2014-2020). V závěru kapitoly jsou diskutovány specifické charakteristiky školského systému v situaci jeho proměn.

After the political turn in 1989 the transformation started in former Czechoslovakia. New perspectives occurred in all areas. In this paper, we outline the situation in the Czech educational system around 1989 and analyses changes evolving across three periods: deconstruction and partial stabilization (1989–2001), systemic reconstruction and imple- mentation (2001–2014) and gradual differentiation (2014–2020). By the end of the paper, we address some specific features of a school system under change caused by turn of political regime.
