Abstract

Tato souhrnná výzkumná studie představuje zjištění z experimentálního výzkumu, který uskutečnil tým pracovníků na Fakultě sociálních studií Masarykovy univerzity. Ve všech případech šlo o laboratorní experimenty zkoumající vnímání, hodnocení a postoje k teroristickým a hybridním hrozbám se zvláštním důrazem na hrozby v kybernetickém prostoru. První ze studií se zabývala obecně psychologií vnímání hrozeb souvisejících s terorismem. Druhá studie se proto zabývala vlivem zdroje (kyberbezpečnostní autority) na ochotu veřejnosti vyhovět kontroverzní spotřebitelské instrukci v situaci akutní kyberhrozby. Třetí studie se věnovala vlivu formy prezentace bezpečnostního opatření na recepci sdělení a ochotu jeho přijetí. Výsledky ukázaly specifické aspekty resilience vůči sledovaným hrozbám ve veřejnosti a poznatky ze zprávy umožní zvýšení této resilience.

Abstract (in English)

This summary research report presents the findings from an experimental study conducted by a team at the Faculty of Social Studies, Masaryk University, Brno, Czech Republic. The study included laboratory experiments that examined the perceptions, evaluations and positions on terrorist and hybrid threats with a special emphasis on threats in cyberspace. The first study investigated the psychology of the perception of terrorism threats in general; the second the effect of the source (a cybersecurity authority) on the public’s willingness to comply with a controversial consumerist instruction in the context of an urgent cyberthreat; the third the effect of the form in which a security measure is presented on how people receive it and how willing they are to comply with it. The findings demonstrate some specific aspects of public resilience to the threats observed and the findings of this report will allow to increase this resilience.
