Abstract
The aim of the present paper was to introduce the perspective of German-speaking/publishing art historians on the art of Southern Caucasus between c. 1870-1950. The contribution was prepared for a kick-off meeting of the project entitled Cultural Interactions in the Medieval Sub-Caucasian Region, which served as a common platform for sharing the research interests and ideas between the investigators.
